Iran-EU Trade Turnover Rises to €3 Billions
The total trade between Iran and the EU in the first five months of the current year amounted to €2.976 billion, showing a 6 percent increase compared to the same period in 2014, according to the report.
The value of Iran-EU bilateral trade in the corresponding period last year stood at €2.81 billion, the Eurostat data showed.
Earlier last week, EU Foreign Policy Chief Federica Mogherini paid an official visit to Tehran and held talks with top Iranian officials on a range of issues, including economic ties between Iran and the European Union.
The visit came after Iran and the Group 5+1 (Russia, China, the US, Britain, France and Germany) on July 14 concluded their intensive talks over Tehran's peaceful nuclear program in the Austrian capital of Vienna.
Experts believe that Iran's trade with the world would rise remarkably after the final nuclear deal takes effect.
